What is Laser Hair / Long Term Hair Removal?
Long term laser hair removal is done by the area. The treatment is done with intense pulsed light which targets the pigment in the active hair follicle, resulting in destruction of the follicle itself. A treatment takes from 10 to 60 minutes depending on the area being treated. There is no down time following the procedure and only minimal warmth or discomfort during the procedure.
At any given time, only 20-30 percent of the hair follicles are in a growth phase that responds to treatment. For this reason, hair removal treatments are sold in packages of 6 spaced at 4-6 week intervals. For the best results, it is recommended to complete all 6 treatments at the recommended intervals.
